Prior to that he had a long Rectorship at Saint Anselm of Canterbury Episcopal Church, in Garden Grove, California. Fr. Benitez describes himself as a bridge builder across cultures, and religions. He is the current president of the Flushing Interfaith Council, and he’s been awarded numerous awards for his community, and interfaith work and service, including two Congressional Recognitions. She currently works for Siemens Corporation, in Tarrytown, N.Y. He is excited about starting the next chapter of his life as the spiritual leader, and Provisional Priest in Charge, of Saint John’s Episcopal Church. He is very much looking forward to working with the Vestry of Saint John’s Church, and serving the pastoral, and sacramental needs of the parish, while living into the vision and mission of the parish.
