Linda D. Clapp
A lifelong student of the Bible and member of the church, Linda Clapp has served as a lay leader in many aspects of church life. As a facilitator of Bible study groups for women, a parish administrator, a leader and trainer in Stephen Ministry's lay pastoral care program, and a graduate of the Diocese of Connecticut's Ministry Exploration and Education Program, she has brought a varied palette of experience to her current position. A Godly Play accredited teacher and trainer of teachers, Linda directs the Children's Program, using her storytelling skills in several parish settings and training new teachers both at St. John's and in the Diocese of CT and beyond. In addition she assists the clergy with planning and facilitating adult education and special programs.
Linda Clapp was born in Arlington, Massachusetts and graduated from Colby College with a degree in English and American Literature. She is married to violinist Stephen Clapp. With their four children the Clapps have worshipped and served at St. David's, Austin, Texas, Christ Church, Oberlin, Ohio, and Christ Church, Greenwich, Connecticut.
